Affectionately known by locals simply as ‘The Cod’, this legendary Chelsea institution has been a fixture of South West London life for generations. In the summer of 2025, we took on the task of restoring this local icon to its former glory. Following an extensive refurbishment, the pub now shines with a new bar & beautifully restored fittings. We’ve also breathed new life into the upstairs, creating a wonderful new space for you to discover. With crackling fireplaces throughout, every visit feels like a homecoming.

The Garden Room is a bit of a hidden gem designed to be enjoyed all year round, featuring a retractable roof for those rare British summer days. If you are planning something special, our light-filled private dining room has its own bar & plenty of space for bespoke celebrations. From a quick pint at the bar to a long, lazy lunch, the Cod remains Chelsea’s favourite neighbourhood hangout.
